RightShip-related readiness requires more than preparing a file before attendance. Vessel condition, crew understanding, machinery and deck areas, maintenance status, and the ability to explain corrective actions all matter during practical review.
A focused technical attendance before inspection-related activity can help shipowners and technical managers check whether the following are aligned with the vessel’s expected condition:
- Visible structural and coating condition on deck and in accessible spaces
- Overdue or open follow-up items from previous inspections
- Engine room housekeeping, alarm status, and general operating condition
- Availability and currency of planned maintenance and defect records
- Crew familiarity with safety-critical equipment and ability to explain recent corrective actions
- General consistency between paperwork and what is actually observed on board
An independent technical attendance ahead of a RightShip-related inspection window can surface gaps in these areas while there is still time to address them.
This note is provided for general technical awareness only. It is not an official RightShip notice, approval, instruction, or inspection result.
